DESCRIPTION: Water treatment tests were conducted for congenital water at the Batería Cárdenas Norte facility of Pemex-PEP in Tabasco. The process included several stages: separation and recovery of crude oil, primary treatment with electrolysis (complying with standards NOM-001-SEMARNAT-2021 and NOM-143-SEMARNAT-2003), accelerated coagulation, and filtration. The treated water met the requirements of NOM-143-SEMARNAT-2003 AND NOM-127-SSA1-2021, making it suitable for reuse in refinery production. PEMEX issued a favorable opinion on the treatment and recycling of the water.
